Well it has been a little bit hasn't it? I promise I haven't been totally skimpin on my running. I have been out there trying to get ready for this marathon, just not as many miles as I'd hope. So this week I've been doing so well and getting out there and running in our new neighborhood.
The last couple of weeks have been totally crazy for me. My fiance and I moved from our old home in Albion, to Jackson, MI. So luckily I was able to get the house in order and organized for the last two weeks. Now with everything mostly done, I have been getting out and working out. I was so happy to have a trail right by where I live now to go out on and run. It will definetly be helpful when I have to run that 20 mile run in a few months.
This week I wanted to ask a question and see if any followers are reading along with me. What is your driving passion to accomplish your life's dream? Is it a loved one, is it religious, or is it a deep burning to prove to yourself that you can do this! I sometimes think I have a small little boxer inside of me that just keeps going and going. Round after round, my inner little boxer keeps fighting along. Sometimes when I want to lay down and slack off, I hear this "thump, thump, thump" and it makes me want to work harder. She pushes me to get better and improve each day.
I want to leave you with this quote I got from a photographer that I absolutely love. Her name is Sandy Puc', www.sandypuc.com, go check out her website if you want to see a WONDERFUL photographer. She is a true mentor to me and a great teacher. But I was at one of her classes once and she had this quote and I totally love it. So I will leave you with this and then my photos for this week so far!
"What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it."
My new shoes...that have helped me starting to run more!! ahh it's like small clouds I run on:)
This last photo is by far my favorite this week! What do you guys think?

Lag and Delay
So it's been a few now since my first running photo post. I am SO SORRY for that. I moved, needed to running shoes and just plain made excuses. But NO MORE. I will have a new post and new photos of our new neighborhood tomorrow:)
YAY....
Keep running after your dream....you will soon catch it!

Run, photo, Run
So I thought I would make this journey a little bit more interesting for me, and for anyone who else cares to follow along. Since I have such a passion for my career, and my love, photography, I thought I would incorporate it into my run. From now on, every time I have a run, I will run with my small camera. This enables me to also dream while I'm out trying to make this marathon the best yet, and try to raise funds to bring dreams to those who feel like they are out of reach. I will take photos that I find funny, inspiring, and just down right beautiful. I hope to show everyone what our world truly has to offer. It amazes me the inspiration I see while I'm out running.
So for my first post, I am going to put up photos from my quick 3 mile run yesterday morning. This was at about 7:15am on a back road in Albion, MI. My first photo was one I saw 2 blocks from my house. Just the usual, a toilet on the curb by the road. Gotta love it.
Here are a few more from my run. I hope you enjoy:)
and PS. to anyone who notices, I like photography..I'm for sure NOT an English major, so sorry for any BAD grammer:)

Whats your biggest wish?
So I have recently signed up for the Marine Corp Marathon on Oct 31st, 2010 in Arlington, VA. This will be my second marathon ever! I ran the Chicago Marathon back in 2008. So already having my rookie run under my belt, I thought I'd make this one a bit more challenging. I thought about training hard and making a really great time. (Chicago was 4hours 55min!) This would be such a great time to really push myself and do well in this marathon. I have never really been a runner per say. I actually run a consist 10 min mile no matter what kind of shape I'm in. I guess that pace is my neutral gear, and I enjoy that pace. So I thought I'd go for this dream...to run a fast marathon!
But then a month ago I got an email with the MCM newsletter At the bottom of this newsletter it talked about running for charities. So of course I clicked the link that took me to the list of charities that are all involved with this marathon. Wow what a site to see so many wonderful causes that people have chosen to run for. Then I saw it...Make-A-Wish Foundation. And it just clicked! This marathon would be my time to help someone else, I would run this marathon for Charity.
Reading over the Make-A-Wish Foundation's website, the stories just floored me. I was so moved by these young children who were able to live out their dreams in spite of their insurmountable obstacles. It made me take a long look at what I am doing with my life and the chances that I get presented to me everyday. I just know I can make a difference in a young child's life, and I hope you will help me too!
For this first blog, I hope any and all of you that read this will answer this one question for me. What is your biggest wish or dream for your life? Have you accomplished that yet? Or are you still dreaming? If so, please leave a comment and tell me about your wish.
I live my wish everyday. I am marrying the man of my dreams, have a wonderfully supportive family, and a business that I truly LOVE. I do have one wishe that I have not finished yet. To make a difference in the lives of others. This is my new wish, and my new journey and I hope you all follow along.:)
Thanks,
Carrie
