Yesterday and Today were the days that us Michiganders dream about. The morning was a nice crisp morning. The kind when you walk outside with a sweatshirt on and your slippers to let the dog out and breathe in that fresh, beautiful air. Just fills your lungs and gives you a new sense of clarity to start your day. Next the sun starts to raise high in the sky and that brisk temperature begins to climb. By 3pm, my prime running time I strap on my shoes, but my pants on and my tank top and get ready to go. Yesterday I was running 6 miles during a beautiful MI day. Got out 3 miles on the trail and started my way back. The last 1.5 was the hardest. My legs started to hurt, my knee was bothering me, but I was going to finish it. I saw the end in sight and that's when it happened. BAM...BUG in the mouth...YUCK..then again. BAM..BUG in the eye!!! The last mile was the worst. I think I ate about 3 dozen bugs, another 2 dozen went in my eyes, and about another dozen went down my tank top. This is the one downfall of our beautiful Michigan, those lovely lil knats! So if running for a marathon isn't hard enough, those bugs will sure make it tough. But I do want to say Thank you to those you have donated so far! It really means a lot. And if you are reading this and think you can donate too, please use the link at the top of the page to do so. I have only 1 month til the marathon!!!
Here are yesterdays pics. I took today off b/c I ran 9 miles in two days...needed a break:)
